It is not a surprise that accessories for these little gadgets are popping up by the minute. Being one of the new concepts, there are now portable chargers available to power up these devices, and the latest buzz is harnessing free energy from the sun. No Way!
First, I didn't buy this for 9 plus S/H. I paid + so I could take it backpacking with my iPhone. It will not work with an iPhone with a dead battery. It charges its' own battery and feeds that to a device. It will not power an iPhone. Worthless for what I wanted or what it's advertised to do.

Good idea, bad execusion
I bought the non-pink version of the Freeloader. It looks good and is simple to use but mine only worked for a single charge. The product description said it was iPhone compatible but I think the iPhone pulls too much current for the Freeloader to work properly. I followed the instructions but after the first successful charge of my phone, it fails to charge anything now. I really wish I had better news because it seems like a great little gadget. Perhaps it would work for smaller devices. I couldn't return it becasue I purchased it from overseas and the cost of returning it would have nearly equaled the cost of a new one.
These solar panels are seen in some households and some even use it to power up a vehicle. Another brilliant idea is using the energy to charge batteries of small devices, and one good example is the Freeloader Portable Solar Energy.
Even solar energy has become portable with the use of these latest solar panels and rechargeable batteries. The Freeloader Solar Energy weighs less than 200 grams and so small that it could fit most pockets. You can use this to charge your iPods, Mobile phones, Cameras and so much more. All it takes to charge the battery of the Freeloader is the sun’s energy, making it a perfect gadget for anyone who is looking free energy as well taking the initiative of protecting the environment.
