This thing blows... COLD!!

| After puchasing 3 like A/C units, trying them out, then returning them... I found the DeLonghi. I was reluctant to purchase it due to the fact that it was much more expensive than the rest AND from a company I had never heard of! The salesperson at Lowes explained to me that several other people like myself had done the same thing I was doing (Purchased cheapies then returned em') to then spring for the DeLonghi. To his knowledge, he said, none of those customers returned the DeLonghi. So, I was sold. Anywho, After my first outrageous power bill #I ran the thing day and night, don't do that!! Oh was it great though, to be snuggled in blankets when its 115 outside...# I learned to use this A/C in moderation. Keeps the master bed, bath and hallway at 74 degrees, 115+ outside... |
Baby it's ICE COLD inside!

DeLonghi PAC A120E was easy to set-up, because it included EVERYTHING!
I am just loving it. Comming home from work to a nice COOL place. Who could ask for anything more. I have not seen my Electric Bill yet, so I will only give it four stars.
*****update - I just got my Con Edison bill in the amount of $299.89! I was in a little bit of a shock (my normal bill is $115ish). I guess i will have to cut down on usage. I have all the lastest energy saving devises(cfl light blubs) etc., and I have to find more ways to save on my Con Ed bill. Keeping cool this summer for me is a must!
Note: Con Edison did get a rate increase recently, so some of the cost is because of that. |
Fix for leaking PAC A120E

| The drain hole from the top catch basin is plugged to fix it you have to open the back panel and gently open the drain hole to the bottom tank that has the shutoff switch when it gets full it should auto shut off so you can drain it. I got mine as a demo floor model. When it drains it's a great little unit |
Beware Pinguinos LEAK !! Do not purchase this product!!

We are on our second Pinguino after our first machine leaked on our carpet. We returned the unit now the second machine leaks aproximately 4 pints of water a day. Delonghi know they are selling a defective product. When you call customer service there is a promt for Penguinuo air conditioners!
They refuse to do anything about replacing this unit at no cost to me. |
Leaks Water and Bad Support

| After 3 months this unit leaked very bad. I sent it in for service only to be told it was dirty and needed cleaning at a cost of $100! All though it is a nice working unit there is an obvious defect in this unit and it should be corrected before this unit is continued to be sold. Not recommended at all. |
